I've read the other replies for screen recordings being choppy and none have resolved my issue.

When I record my streaming video with QT, it works fine, so it has to be a setting within ActivePresenter

Here is my log, in case you it gives a clue to the issue -

Are you recording an actual streaming video or a streaming computer screen? If you're not recording a movie or a motion picture and want to have crystal clear quality then you probably want to use the "Record Software Demonstration" profile. It uses lossless codec to encode the video so the quality is preserved 100%.

I am trying to record streaming video (sports - NBA Finals).

Again, it works fine when I record using QuickTime so it has to be a setting on ActivePresenter.

Hi,

Maybe using the odd dimension (953x530) is the cause of problem. Can you please try with some standard dimensions such as 1280x720, 800x600...to see if the issue occurs or not?

Thank you for the prompt response.

I tried 720x480 and it made no difference

Is it possible to provide a screenshot or sample project for this issue? According to the log, the frame rate is quite high (29.94) so I am not sure why this problem occurs. Maybe I am misunderstanding something?
commented Jun 15 by Max

Sure. I've uploaded the output to youtube so you can view it.

Its mostly noticeable in the first 7 seconds when the camera moves with the action

I guess increasing the frame rate may help. You just need  to double-click the selected capture profile, then select the Audio & Video tab to change it. Anyway, ActivePresenter is designed for creating trainning materials so it has not been optimized for this case. You can record video by using QT and import the recorded result into ActivePresenter if you want to edit futher.
